Date: 07/26/16

Buckeye Health Plan's parent company was recently honored for five of its innovative member programs at Dorland Health’s Annual Case in Point Platinum Awards.

In Ohio, the ORCA House Residential Treatment Bridge Program and its collaborative partnership with Cenpatico, a subsidiary, received an award in the Care Coordination Specialty Program: Behavioral Health Case Management category. The award-winning ORCA House Residential Treatment Bridge Program is a collaborative partnership between Cenpatico and the Cleveland-based ORCA House.

The Bridge Program links the most vulnerable Medicaid members to residential treatment to more effectively treat their addiction. The program provides a residential stay at ORCA House for 30 days with a minimum of 30 hours each week of alcohol and drug treatment services. Residential substance abuse treatment is not currently a Medicaid-reimbursable service, so Buckeye works with ORCA House and local partners to cover the cost of these services for Buckeye’s Medicaid members.

The Case in Point Platinum Awards recognize case management programs that successfully deliver sustained efficiency and effectiveness across a variety of disciplines and settings in the continuum of care coordination. Cenpatico specializes in providing Buckeye members help for their behavioral health needs.
