New update June 1, 2022:

ODM has announced the availability of the recorded OhioRISE 1915(c) Home and Community Based Waiver training held on May 18. The recording is available here.

We encourage youth and families, all local system and community partners, direct service providers, state agencies, managed care entities, and others interested in learning about the OhioRISE 1915(c) Home and Community Based Waiver who were unable to attend the live training session on May 18 to watch the training recording. This training, and all of the trainings included in the OhioRISE community and provider training series were designed to help you prepare for implementing this important program in July.

As a reminder, we are also offering office hours – this is pre-scheduled time available for you to ask questions to OhioRISE subject matter experts. Please find details about the OhioRISE 1915(c) Home and Community Based Waiver office hours session below.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OhioRISE 1915(c) Home and Community Based Waiver training is on Wednesday, May 18. As a part of the OhioRISE program, ODM will utilize waivers that provide more flexibility when implementing Medicaid programs. We will utilize a Home and Community-Based services (HCBS) 1915(c) waiver to help youth needing services and support to stay in their home and communities, rather than in institutions.

This training is broken out into two segments:

  1. Provide an overview of the waiver, eligibility, its services, care coordination, waiver slots, and much more.
  2. For those interested in learning about provider types/provider qualifications, billing, coding, reimbursement, and other provider responsibilities.

We encourage youth and families, all local system and community partners, direct service providers, state agencies, managed care entities, and others interested in learning about the OhioRISE 1915(c) Home and Community Based Waiver to attend this session. This may include staff of all levels within your organization.

It’s not too late to participate! ODM will present this training live and will announce the availability of the recording approximately a week after the live session under the “What’s New?” section of the main OhioRISE webpage. They are also offering office hours – this is pre-scheduled time available for you to ask questions to OhioRISE subject matter experts.
