Mammograms Save Lives

Mammograms Save Lives

Women over 50 should have a mammogram each year!

It can be hard to make time for a doctor’s visit, but your health is important. And getting a mammogram has never been faster or easier. Most take 30 minutes or less.

Why should you make time?

Breast cancer is the second most common cause of cancer-related death for Ohio women. But when it’s detected early, most breast cancer can be treated successfully.

Just ask Buckeye Member and new mom Desiree.  After a mammogram showed that she had stage 2 breast cancer, Desiree had successful treatment, and is now enjoying her new baby girl. Watch her story and learn how Buckeye provided the care and support she needed.

“A mammogram can save your life like it did mine.” — Desiree, Cancer Survivor and Buckeye Health Plan member since 2015
